DBS GIRO Income Tax Payment Promotion (18 May 2010 ~ 30 June 2010)

This particular promotion by DBS bank is what I call a “feeble, half-hearted and uninspiring promotion”.

DBS wants you to apply for their GIRO service to pay your Income Tax, giving you 12 months interest-free instalments.
If you are the type of person who always pays up in full, this is pretty nice.

Since charging full lump sum to Credit Card will always attract admin fees, it is much wiser to opt for a 12 months interest-free instalment plan.

My gripe is in the promotional benefit given:

S$20 Choice voucher for every 30th successful customer who applies via IBanking or AXS Stations

What a joke…..you mean a rich bank like DBS cannot afford to give S$20 each to all signups?
